The combination of waking at 8:30 and the holiday weekend meant there was not much left for me at the farmers’ market. I did cheat a little: I bought some North Carolina strawberries. Come to think of it, I think I did it last year, too.

So, we had to go to the grocery store, and a trip to the wine shop next door seemed like a good idea, too. I didn’t have much hope, but it’s a fancy shop, so at the last minute I asked if they had any non-alcoholic beer. I got a six-pack of Buckler, made by Heineken, and iced it down just in time to watch the last ten minutes of the Butler/Michigan game. It’s close enough for me.
